New Hemorrhoid Treatment
März 6th, 2010
Hemorrhoids are common in the rectum and anus where the veins around these areas become inflamed and swollen. They occur in both women and men and nearly half the population suffers from them by the age of 50. Hemorrhoids often form as a result of straining with a bowel movement, long-term constipation or sitting for a long time period. Women often tend to experience them while pregnant. The most common symptom is rectal bleeding but also includes itching and discomfort.
Hemorrhoids can form internally or externally. They can cause a lot of misery for some people, but are not life-threatening or dangerous and typically go away within days. Treatment usually focuses on relieving the symptoms and pressures while changing bowel habits.
Treatment for hemorrhoids usually begins moderately aiming at relieving pain or itching. This may include applying a cold pack to the area and taking tub baths. There are creams and suppositories available that can be bought with a prescription. Application of these often times relieves symptoms.
Hemorrhoids can also be cleared up with a natural hemorrhoid treatment:
1. Fiber. Increasing fiber intake bulkens and softens stools.
2. Bioflavonoids. Lessens pain, discomfort and discharge.
3. Witch hazel. Decreases bleeding and relieves itching, pain and swelling.
4. Butcher’s broom. Contains both vein-constricting and anti-inflammatory properties.
5. Horse Chestnut. Relieves swelling and inflammation as well as strengthens blood vessel walls.
